A big shoutout to Kaylyn Jorgensen!

Saturday we had the pleasure of shooting a wedding along side a friend of mine from Indianola High School: Kaylyn Jorgensen. View her website here

Kaylyn is currently attending DMACC for photography and we had so much fun tagging along shooting with her!

Tanner and I have acquired a ton of new photography equipment within the last few months since our last wedding shoot in August. Sure we've played with it on family, engagement and modeling shoots but assumed it'd be a great opportunity to try them out before our next wedding shoot on January 31, 2010.

List of our great new stuff we tried out:

-A new 5DMK II 21.1 megapixel (My first wedding in full frame!)
-135L
-50mm 1.4
-24-105L
-Soft box & light stand with external transmitter

Just a few shots of Kaylyn doing her thing:

Thanks again for letting us tag along!

Website Overhaulin'

Just doing a bit of website updates to ZTS with added images to galleries, minor changes appearances, colors, transitions etc. Feel free to go check out the changes! Trying out a new logo for the main page (99% chance this will completely change in a day or so with something much cooler) and added a featured gallery section with a wedding and two family picture sessions recently.

Print Card!

We were contemplating how best to spread the word at events that we shoot that you can go visit our print site and purchase the images. We needed something:

1. Super simple

2. Awesomely sweet and so ZTS style

Cha ching! Problem solved!

Welcome to the funky cool ZTS Print business card!

Of course we have individual cards for ourselves to pass out but the print site address on there is super small and sometimes hard to explain the difference between our 'website' our 'print site' and the 'blog' to someone within a 30 second conversation. We decided to just simply make some combo cards to solve it!

Now when we are shooting your wedding day, event or game we can pass them out to family members so they can go purchase and view images at the touch of a button. Tanner has been shooting quite a few sporting events at BVU and assumed having a print website card to pass out to some parents might help them to actually go view and buy the awesome images of their children in action!

50mm 1.4F! The new super awesome Lens!

We have a new member to our ZTS Photo family!

The 50mm 1.4F! Now if you know us...you know we already had a 50mm macro 2.5F to take those awesome ring photos and details but to be truthfully kind of poor on people! Now that we are shooting full frame cameras the 50mm 1.4 was just an awesome choice for portraits (seniors...engagement...weddings...etc!) Can't wait to try it out in the studio next week as well!

Just a few test shots straight out of the box at the condo yesterday afternoon:

And some of my favorite images with it...just look at that detail...oh awesomeness!

Ashton & Ava Christmas Photos

So just sitting at my Condo on a Sunday afternoon and my Facebook chat icon popps up from Ashton. She had her photography cancel on her last moment for fun Christmas Photos for her Husband who is currently serving in the military. So...I hopped right in the Escape and drove over to Plesant Hill to snap a few photos! Also got the change to try out the new 50mm 1.4F which I must say is SUPER awesome! Love it!

Possibly my favorite image I have ever captured above. I adore it! A new camera...and a 50mm with such a low F just...wow! Makes me think how far I have truly come in the past few years with photography. Enjoy the rest!
